STAFF
MATT BALLARD
LEAD PASTOR
Husband of Chrissy, father of three daughters (Madeline, Mary-Alex, and Anabelle),  child of the King of glory, and Founding Pastor / lead shepherd of Southpointe Community Church.

Matt and his family moved to Nolensville in July, 2010 to partner with a small group of visionaries and plant Southpointe Community Church.  He previously served on the staff of Perimeter Church in Atlanta as a preaching pastor and lead their ministry to singles and families in the 22-40 age range.  Before that he was on the staff of First Presbyterian Church in Augusta, GA as the pastor to Single Adults.

"I'm a broken sinner who is being re-made and re-formed by the sometimes brutal but always beautiful grace of God.  I like stuff that blows up (all sorts of weaponry), stuff that makes horsepower (mainly cars, motorcycles, and aircraft), and things that have made history (I love 20th C. military history).  My favorite thing to do is to hang with my family and friends.  Nothing brings me more joy then opening the Bible with others and discovering together the wonder of Jesus.  My musical tastes run the gamut from U2 to Keith Urban to John Mayer to Snoop Dogg and just about everything in between."
